No special equipment needed – your phone is good enough
All you need to produce a perfect verification photo is your smartphone. Grab your identification card, passport or driving license and take a photograph of both sides (or in case of a passport both main pages).
Please make sure 1) the photos are of the highest resolution possible, 2) all the numbers and letters are clearly visible, 3) the provided document uses/includes the Latin alphabet. When you are done, upload it to Cashila and we’ll do the rest!
Verifying your permanent residence address
Most of the above also stands for providing proof of residence documents – a high resolution pic done with your phone is more than enough. However, please keep in mind that it must be evident from the document you upload that it was sent to your address, so make sure the address is clearly visible on the provided document. Because we are verifying the address of your residence, self-printed documents or documents received in person will be rejected, even if they include your address, as they do not ensure you actually live at the address provided. Another important factor is that the document must not be older than 3 months.
Various documents are suitable for address verification, as long as they were sent to the address you submitted during registration, but the following are ideal: a utility bill or a bank statement; a document you received from the government or a local authority; a tax return document, etc.
Are you living paperless?
If paper documents are a thing of the past for you and hard to come by, we suggest you request a printed bank statement, which can easily be done from your online bank, it doesn’t cost much, and is a one-time thing.
